Regional Sales Manager for Armstrong Growers
Job Objective:
Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in a market that covers California, Arizona and Nevada. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Sales Associates. Armstrong Growers serves independent garden centers, resorts and commercial landscape maintenance companies throughout the southwest. We are quality growers of bedding color, floral holiday crops, herbs, vegetables and select perennials and shrubs.
Responsibilities:
o Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
o Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Team.
o Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
o Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
o Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
o Conducts one-on-one review with all Sales Associates to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of the Sales Associates sales and activity performance.
o Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
o Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
o Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Sales Associates.
o Assists Sales Associates in preparation of proposals and presentations.
o Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
o Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
o Recruits, tests, and hires Sales Associates based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
Relationships and Roles:
Internal / External Cooperation
o Insures that all Sales Associates meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
o Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
o Sets examples for Sales Associates in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
o Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Sales Associates to build motivation and selling skills.
o Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
o Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Job Specifications:
o 5-7 years of experience in sales management
o Experience with contact management software tracking and solutions.
o Extensive experience in all aspects of Retail Supplier Relationship.
o Experience with the commercial landscape and maintenance sector.
o Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
o Willingness to travel and work in the Southwest USA.
o Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
